Chloé van Soeterstède
Chloé van Soeterstède studied in Paris, London and Manchester. In 2018, she was a finalist in the International Donatella Flick & LSO Conducting Competition and in 2017, she reached the quarterfinals at the Besançon International Conducting Competition. She is the founder and artistic director of the ensemble Arch Sinfonia, which gives concerts in London, Paris and Lille. Her work as assistant to Sir Mark Elder, Vladimir Jurowski, Yan Pascal Tortelier, Vassily Petrenko, Francois-Xavier Roth and Francesco Cillufo brought her to the Hallé Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and the Opera Holland Park. Among the master classes she worked in were those with Marin Alsop, Paavo Järvi and Johannes Schlaefli. As a guest conductor, she worked for the Orchestre National de Lille, the Berkeley Ensemble and the Orchestre Victor Hugo Franche-Comté, among others.
