Ka Hou Fan

Ka Hou Fan studied conducting and flute at the École Normale de Musique de Paris. He then continued his conducting studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. An Erasmus scholarship also enabled him to study at the "Franz Liszt" Conservatory in Weimar. He completed his training with masterclasses with Jaap van Zweden, Nicolás Pasquet, Mark Stringer and Vladimir Kiradyev. Since 2019, he has been participating in the master programme of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. He reached the semi-finals in both the 2018 Princess Astrid International Music Competition and the 2017 Maestro Solti International Conducting Competition. Viewers have so far been able to see him in action as a conductor of the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, the Gstaad Festival Orchestra and the Vienna Chamber Orchestra.
