Nicolas Kierdorf completed his bachelor’s degree in orchestral conducting at the HfMT in Cologne and has been in the master programme at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Hamburg since 2017. Among the masterclasses he took, the ones with Johannes Schlaefli, Nicolás Pasquet, Marcello Bufalini and Markus Lehtinen gave him important impulses. He held assistant professorships in Cologne and Hamburg and in 2018 was in charge of the production "Il Matrimonio Segreto" with the Concert Royal ensemble from Cologne. In 2019 he reached the final round of the German university competition for orchestra conducting “Campus Conduct”. He worked several times with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Southern Westphalia. Nicolas Kierdorf also performs regularly with the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra and has been artistic director of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s Orchestra since 2019.
