Niklas Benjamin Hoffmann

Niklas Benjamin Hoffmann won the International Donatella Flick & LSO Conducting Competition in 2016 and subsequently became assistant conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra. Here, he worked closely with all guest and chief conductors such as Valery Gergiev, Sir Simon Rattle, François Xavier-Roth and Bernard Haitink and also conducted his own concerts. Further assistances took him to the Theatre of Hagen and to the State Youth Orchestra of Rhineland-Palatinate. He graduated from the "Franz Liszt" Conservatory in Weimar. He completed his training with masterclasses with Jorma Panula, Clark Rundell, Gabriel Feltz and Marc Piollet, among others. Engagements brought him to the Haydn Orchestra in Bozen, the Folkwang Chamber Orchestra in Essen, the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, the St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra, the State Philharmonic Orchestra of Rhineland-Palatinate and the Orchestra della Toscana in Florence, among others.
